It's OK Thursday
I'm linking up with Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's OK Thursday.
It's OK... that more often than not, I feel like most days are A Complete Waste of Makeup :) Neely is a hoot, check her out!
It's OK....that I have a mild obsession with what I call "gas station hot chocolate". It is hot chocolate that comes from those freakishly hot coffee machines at most Exxon gas stations. I don't drink coffee but during the winter months, I stop for "gas station hot chocolate" more than anyone should ever admit. I have considered buying a Keurig, only because some mornings it is just too cold to get out of the car for it.
It's OK...that I am really excited that Courtney survived the Rose Ceremony on the Bachelor this week. I must see where she comes from and who birthed a human like that.
It's OK...that I totally have a boyfriend, had flowers sent to work, and a lovely night out for Valentine's Day. However, I still wanted to vomit each and every time someone on my Facebook newsfeed posted pictures of their gifts, flowers, cards, etc. Enjoy them, display them, and thank your love for their efforts but good lord, stop bragging on Facebook. You can't all possibly have "THE BEST BOYFRIEND/HUSBAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!"
It's OK...that most nights, I am home from work, changed into yoga pants, have eaten dinner and am wanting to go to sleep, watching TV by 7:00pm at night.
It's OK...that I love my job but have been wishing for a "snow day" since November. It's just not happening...darn it.
It's OK...that I'll settle for a 3 day weekend instead of a snow day!
What's OK for you?

I Confess...
1. I'm going away for the weekend for a "semi" work trip. I'm dragging along the boyfried for my own down time. I confess, I couldn't be more excited.
2. I wore a scarf to school e.v.e.r.y day this week. I had a student call me out on it. I confess, I couldn't care less.

3. I have a habit of checking facebook during the day on my Blackberry. Sometimes, while it loads, I try to scroll down. This usually ends up in me "liking"someone's status by accident. That moment where I scroll back up to see what they said, hoping it wasn't bad news, someone dying, etc. SCARES ME TO DEATH.
4. (Grey's Anatomy Spoiler Alert)... The "still not engaged" story line in Grey's Anatomy last night hit right at home. (This girl is at almost 4 years, no ring).I confess, if I had opened the necklace on year 8, I can't promise I wouldn't have reacted the exact same way. After the episode last night, I may never bring up the subject again. Well played... men writers on Grey's Anatomy...well played.
If you are going on years without a ring, watch it here, you won't either

The Stack
My confession:
My name is Ms. M and I have an accessory problem.
I have jewelry boxes, bags, and organizers dedicated to all of the rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces that I own.
I don't discriminate. I have real David Yurman, I have knock off Tiffany, I have every costume piece you can imagine in between the two. Because of my lack of one single way to store and display all of this jewelry, often times it goes unworn. Sadface.
My problem is so bad, that I will probably be wearing yoga pants and a fleece on the weekends but I won’t leave home without wearing my pearls, watch, Yurman ring, etc.
My love of different jewelry comes and goes as quickly as each fad. However, the one look I just can’t get enough of- The Stack.
You tell me, what better way to display more than one bracelet at a time?
I always include a watch in my stack.
I even spend way too much time on Pintrest looking for my next big stack idea.
Current stacks I’m loving…
The “I totally would wear this” stack
The “high end” stack
The “I’m not trying, I just always wear these pieces” stack
The most important thing to remember about the stack:
As Bon Qui Qui would say: “You can do it your way, but don’t get crazy”
What is your ideal stack of choice?

Lovely Lisa, 28 in MD/DC area
I have had this blog set up for quite some time. Mostly to do lots of blog reading, but as you can tell by this being my first post- not so much writing.
If there is one thing to get a girl writing, it is a chance to enter a friend into a “Show us your singles” Friday from Kelly's Korner .
I’m linking up today to introduce my old college roommate, post college best friend, Lisa.
Lisa is the kind of person everyone needs in their life. She’s caring, compassionate, and giving.
Lisa is the first person her friends call with good news, bad news, and everything in between. Lisa is well known as the organizer of all gatherings, the planner of all trips, and the life of every get together. She is also just as happy curled up on a couch, watching DVR’d shows and relaxing after a long day at work.
Family is very important to Lisa. She grew up in a very close, now very large Italian family in Maryland. She did find herself as a Virginia resident for four (and a half) amazing years while attending Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree. (Go Hokies!)
Upon graduation, Lisa returned to the Maryland/ DC area. She works for a financial planner, enjoys volunteering for a junior achievement program in her area that teaches middle school youth about the importance of future financial planning, and coaching girls basketball for a local recreation program. In her free time, Lisa enjoys weekend trips to the beach with family and friends.
Lisa is a fun loving 28 year old girl who loves the Hokies, family, friends, dachshunds, and enjoying life. Lisa is the first person to celebrate other people’s relationship successes, life achievements, and future plans. I’m hoping she meets a fun loving man who can share in her successes, achievements, and can enhance her future plans.
If you think Lisa's other half is someone you know, feel free to leave a comment and get in touch!
